Thanks to Brian Schiff for this idea! Here is a great corrective exercise for rotatory instability.
Do you want to improve your deep squat or overhead deep squat? One is an exercise and the other is normally part of a movement screen.

Since I am an entrepreneur, I thought I would share like minded PTs creations for those looking for innovative products for their practices and patients.


Does your patient have limited and/or painful cervical rotation actively that changes significantly when measured passively? If so, they most likely do not need manual intervention.

I love it when patients tell me they have "tight" hamstrings. The percentage of people with a real slow responding straight leg raise is low.  Most of them are rapid responders.

KEY POINTS:
Screen the deep squat from developmental progression (most challenging position to least challenging). The best place to start the screen is with narrow and neutral positioned feet and arms overhead. The end point will vary person to person, but will have a theoretical end range at diagnostic joint specific range of motion (ROM) testing.
