Lateral Tibial Glide Variations for Ankle Mobility

For a review on lateral tibial glide assessment click here. The normal mobilization I teach for homework is here. Tibial IR Q&A post is here.

The lateral tibial glide self mobilization and assessment I learned from Chris Johnson a few years ago has been invaluable in my practice. Whether it's knee pain, hip pain, lumbar pain, and/or some ankle pain/mobility, this assessment is one of my go toes as a Clinical Practice Pattern for the Lower Quarter.

Here is a variation of Lateral Tibial Glide that I use as a progression to the original technique.

The lower quarter Clinical Practice Patterns are something I go over in Modern Manual Therapy Seminars and Premium. If you want to learn more check them out!

Interested in live cases where I apply this approach and integrate it with pain science, manual therapy, repeated motions, IASTM, with emphasis on patient education? Check out Modern Manual Therapy!
