Supine Thoracic Thrust Manipulation

This is a variation on the classic arms as leverage supine thoracic thrust manipulation. The key components are
  • over-roll onto your hand/fulcrum
  • your hand is flat, slight wrist extension; this is way more comfortable than a pistol grip or closed knuckles for you AND the patient
  • sidebend the patient away
  • take up arm slack with full shoulder extension
  • thrust in superior and posterior direction - NOT pure posterior

Thoracic thrust manipulation can improve cervicogenic HA, cervical ROM, and shoulder ROM. The full 15 min mini case is on Modern Manual Therapy Premium! Sign up now!
