Breathing and Trigger Point Release
I heard a great quote on another blog recently. Foam rollers and trigger point balls (like the EDGE Mobility Ball) are great for finding trigger points. Once you find them, stop rolling!
I cannot repeat it enough, you need to be superhumanly strong to deform fascia greater than 1%, just 1%! There are easier ways to reduce tone/tension and tenderness. Finding a tender point then inhibiting it (my preferred term for releasing - thanks Greg Lehman) with breathing works just as well, probably faster, and DOES NOT HURT.
