Research Review: The Effects of Neuromuscular Training on the Gait Patterns of ACL-deficient Men and Women

SMR reviews research that looked at the differences perturbation training had on men and women pre-surgically and post-surgically. Women demonstrated significant gait differences pre-surgically at the hip and knee gait deviations, whereas men only had knee gait deviations.

PERT training improved gait quality in both and was better than a simple strengthening program.
